Fishermen community in kanyakumari District is the backward community in education. Hence in1996 the elite class of this community like, and few others formed a society called FEDS. They contributed heavily and handsomely to create a fund to encourage and support the students financially from fisherman community in kanyakumari District.
As per the decision taken then i.e. in 1996, a sum of RS.1000/- was given to100 students every year in two installments, one on independence day and the other on republic day from 1997 till 2007.
We are providing the fund for 10th and 12th Students only for fisherman community peoples.
